Hey everyone,

We just wanted to give you an update on what we’ve been up to this past month and what are plans are for this summer.

As you may have noticed, we have a new drummer, Nano. Since he’s joined, things have been running very smoothly and in the past few weeks we’ve written 6 new songs. These songs are faster and heavier than anything we’ve ever written yet are still very melodic and “cute” in their own right and we can’t wait to get them recorded for you all to hear. Which brings me to my next point..

In early July we’re going into Wired Wrists recording studio with Joe Mitra to record our new ep. Its going to be mostly new material and should really rip. We’ll get it pressed and most likely have it available near the end of august/beginning of september.

Also, we are going to change our name. For a while now we have felt that “Broken Bodies” does not suit us anymore, both stylistically and in terms of our message. We’ve changed a lot, and so has our music, since we first started as “Broken Bodies”: our line-up has changed twice, and our musical aspirations have changed significantly. We are still growing as human beings and as musicians, which is why we are no longer heading in the same direction that we initially were. This growth has in turn separated us from our old name, which was created with a different outlook. Now, more than ever, we want to create positive, socially conscious hardcore, something that, to us, seems vague and unfocused in our old music. Because of that we’re going to change our name to CONTROL. It reflects where we are going now and embodies an idea that is important to us, which is to always push forward regardless of the obstacles, because inaction won’t get you anywhere. It also exemplifies the notion of living your life actively as opposed to letting life pass by. This is the next step in our journey of a thousand miles.

We’re working on getting our summer sorted out right now. Here are some updates:

We have a new drummer, NANO!

We have a list of summer shows on the “tour” section, and we will be adding more shortly.

We are writing new material and are getting ready to record in mid June.

Last week we played at The Party Pit with Police & Thieves, Ante Up, The Early Birds, and Mother Of Mercy. Our friend was nice enough to film a large part of it, so we’ve been spending A LOT of time editing videos the past few days. Here are a couple:
